Derrick Smith is a seasoned technology executive with a proven track record of driving transformative initiatives in technology and operations. With over 30 years of experience, he has successfully aligned complex information management strategies with corporate goals, resulting in measurable outcomes and fostering innovation. Derrick's career highlights include leadership roles at Microforum and Assumption Life, where he led groundbreaking IT and business strategies. In 2017, he joined UNI Financial Cooperation as Chief Information Officer and Vice President, Operations & Optimization, spearheading a transformative banking business initiative. 

In addition to his professional achievements, Derrick is a respected advisor and active member of various boards and committees, including the New Brunswick Technology Council and the Premier’s Advisory Committee. He holds certifications as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and is a graduate of the Executive Development Program at Queen’s University’s Smith School of Business. Derrick specializes in banking and insurance and is dedicated to delivering value across industries.
